Research interests
The core mission of my research program is the development of technology, design tools and methodologies, and human resources aiming the creation of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable biorefinery designs for the production of added-value chemicals and advanced biofuels.

An interdisciplinary combination of “Process Systems Engineering” tools with experiments focuses on the conversion of R&D technology efforts into process concepts and sustainable business opportunities for the sugarcane and forest industry.
