Welcome to the Laboratory of Engineering and Products Chemistry / Laboratório de Engenharia e Química de Produtos (LEQUIP), belonged to the Department of Materials Engineering and Bioprocess - University of Campinas.

 

Our lab is intended for research to improve the people’s day-to-day lives, using renewable resources, investigating, establishing and improving their production processes.

 

The studies focus on the use of materials from renewable sources such as chitosan, glucomannan, fibroin and alginate for a range of applications, including biomaterials, textile packaging  and adsorption separation processes.

 

The activities are developed by graduate and undergraduate students  with the support of funding agencies and partner companies.

OUR LABORATORY

was founded in 2002 by Professor Marisa Masumi Beppu  and is located at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Campinas.
